Kyla Lam, CPA, CA
Kyla is passionate about serving the small businesses, families, and not-for-profits in our community by supporting their financial management needs with a unique and progressive approach.
With more than 15 years of experience in a variety of accounting roles, she started Aspire in 2019 to offer a zero-intimidation, and family-friendly environment, for staff and clients. She believes in the importance of relationships to understand unique needs and challenges, and uses her extensive background to address these efficiently and effectively. She wants to see business owners focussing their valuable time on building and growing their businesses, not burdened by paperwork and manual processes.
Kyla is an active member in the community as Secretary of the Columbia Valley Chamber of Commerce and a CPA Canada Financial Literacy volunteer teaching local financial literacy courses through the College of the Rockies.
As avid campers, hikers, mountain bikers, and skiers, Kyla and her family can often be found exploring this beautiful valley we call home.
Sheryl Rice, CPA, CGA
Sheryl brings over 25 years of public accounting experience to Aspire, serving small to medium size businesses in a wide range of industries, corporate and personal tax clients.
Sheryl obtained her professional accounting designation in 1997 and worked for a mid-size practice in northwest BC, becoming partner in 2010. The local firm merged with a large national accounting and tax firm in 2015.
After retiring from full time practice. Sheryl and her husband relocated to Invermere in 2020 to be closer to their daughter and family. Joining Aspire on a part-time basis provides the best of both worlds – allowing her to continue in a career that Sheryl has been passionate about over the years while spending time with family and enjoying all the Columbia Valley has to offer.
Accounting Specialist & Office Administrator
Junifer Parisien joined the Aspire team as our Administrative Assistant in January 2021. She comes equipped with many years of customer service as well as office administration and bookkeeping skills. It will be her friendly voice you will hear when calling into the office. Her passion for numbers and learning new skills makes her a perfect fit in this role.
The mountains were calling to her throughout her youth and she made her dream of living in the Columbia Valley a reality almost 30 years ago. Along with her husband, she has raised her two daughters to have the same enthusiasm and love for the mountains as she does. Away from the office you may see her hiking with her dogs, golfing or just meandering through the mountains in her Jeep.
We're thrilled to have welcomed Miel Dubielewicz to the Aspire team in February 2021. In addition to a wide variety of past work opportunities, including working for BC Wildfires, Miel is an experienced business owner. Along with her husband, Miel operated a natural health product company for eight years, and from this experience, understands how effective financial management is integral part of running an organization.
Active in the community, she is on the Board of Directors for Wildsight, the Secretary for the Columbia Valley Skating Club, and a volunteer with the Parents Advisory Council. Out of the office, Miel enjoys homeschooling her little humans, spending time with loved ones, and cooking delicious food!
Bryce is our youngest team member, chief paper shredder, door unlocker and calculator button pusher. He’s Kyla’s son and an excellent sharer of toys.
Scout, Professional Greeter
Scout, the Lam family's golden retriever, occasionally helps out around the office, warming up seats and nuzzling newcomers.
